Setting Up a Check In/OutKiosk

Turn a tablet or computer into a self-service check-in kiosk where families scan their backstage pass or search for their name, and lock it with an exit passcode.

Kiosk Mode lets families check their own dancers in or out on a tablet or computer at the stage door.

Start a kiosk

  1. Open the show from Check In & Check Out.

  2. Click Kiosk Mode in the top right.

  3. Enter an Exit passcode (at least 4 characters) twice. You'll need it to leave kiosk mode.

  4. Choose the check-in methods: Camera scanning for backstage pass QR codes, Search by name, or both.

  5. Pick the Back or Front camera. Front works best for a tablet on a stand facing families.

  6. Choose Sign In or Sign Out.

  7. Click Launch Kiosk.

What families see

Families tap Scan Your Backstage Pass or Search For Your Name. When they're checked in, they see a celebration and "You're checked in!".

Leave kiosk mode

Tap the lock icon in the top right and enter your exit passcode.

Tips

  • Turn on your device's guided access or screen pinning so families can't leave the browser.

  • Refreshing the page also ends kiosk mode, so keep the tablet out of reach or locked down.

  • Your staff can keep checking people in on the regular screen at the same time. Everything stays in sync.
