Connecting Zapier

Connect ShowSculptor to Zapier with an API key to automate things like adding new families to your email list or posting check-ins to Slack, and see your Zapier connections under Webhooks.

Written by Joe Naftal

Zapier connects ShowSculptor to thousands of other apps without any code. For example, add each new family to Mailchimp, post check-ins to Slack, or log waiver signatures in Google Sheets. Zapier is available on Essentials and Production Pro.

Step 1: Create an API key

  1. Go to Settings, then Integrations.

  2. Under API Keys & Zapier, leave the key name as Zapier (or rename it) and click Create key.

  3. Click the copy button to copy the key. It's only shown once.

Step 2: Connect in Zapier

  1. In Zapier, create a Zap and search for ShowSculptor.

  2. Choose a trigger, like New family or Check-in.

  3. When Zapier asks you to connect your account, paste your API key.

  4. Finish setting up the rest of your Zap and turn it on.

What can start a Zap

  • New dancer, family, show, routine or volunteer

  • Check-in and check-out

  • Waiver signed

  • New volunteer signup

  • Costume order status changed

See your connections

Each Zap you turn on shows up under Webhooks with a via API tag. Turn it off with the switch, or click the trash can to remove it.

Good to know

  • Anyone with your API key can see and change your studio's data, so keep it private.

  • To disconnect Zapier, click the trash can next to the key. Any Zaps using it stop working.
