Show Status Display

Put a backstage TV or monitor on Show Status Display to show what's on stage now, up next and coming up, with dancers, teachers, start and end positions and costume notes, updating live from Stage Manager.

Written by Joe Naftal

Show Status Display turns any TV, monitor or tablet into a backstage screen so dancers, parents and crew always know where the show is. It's part of Encore: included on Production Pro, or $29 per show on Essentials.

Set it up

  1. On the computer connected to the screen, sign in to ShowSculptor.

  2. Go to Encore, then Show Status Display, and choose the show.

  3. Make the browser full screen (F11 on Windows, or Control + Command + F on a Mac).

What it shows

  • On Stage Now: the routine your stage manager marked on stage.

  • Up Next: the following routine.

  • Coming Up: the next few routines, then End of Show.

It follows Mark On Stage in Stage Manager automatically. If the show order changes, a banner appears for a minute so everyone notices.

Choose what's shown

Hover over the top of the screen and click Modules to turn on or off the routine photo, number of dancers, start and end positions, dancer, teacher, assistant and volunteer names, and costume notes. Fewer modules means bigger text. This is saved on that device.
