Performer Portal

Give families one mobile page with their backstage passes, show schedule, rehearsal and photo times, costume info and a contact form. Set your portal link, choose modules and share it with families.

The Performer Portal is a simple, mobile-friendly page just for your families. Each family signs in with their email and sees only their own dancers, volunteers and schedule.

Good to know: The Performer Portal is included with Production Pro. The screenshots below use our sample portal. On Essentials you'll see it in the menu with a lock. Click it and choose Try the demo to see what families get.

Set up your portal

  1. In the left menu, click Performer Portal.

  2. Make sure Portal enabled is on.

  3. Under Portal URL, type the end of your link, like your studio name. Use at least 3 letters or numbers. Click Check availability.

  4. Under Modules, turn on what families should see.

  5. Click Save.

Click Copy to copy your portal link, or Open to see it yourself. Share the link in emails, texts or on your website.

Turn Portal enabled off anytime. Families who open the link will see that the portal isn't available.

What families can see

  • Backstage Passes: a pass for each dancer and volunteer in the family, with a QR code to scan at check-in. Families can swipe between passes.

  • Family Schedule — Shows: each show the family is in, with the date, time and venue, and their routines in show order with routine numbers, photos and any volunteer assignments.

  • Family Schedule — Rehearsal Times: rehearsal dates, times and locations for their routines.

  • Family Schedule — Photo Times: photo session dates, times and locations.

  • Costume Information: routine photos with costume notes and colors.

  • Contact Studio: a form families can use to message you.

How families sign in

  1. The family opens your portal link.

  2. They enter their family email and tap Email me a sign-in link.

  3. They open the email and tap the link. It works for 30 minutes.

Once they're in, they stay signed in on that phone for 30 days. They can tap Sign out anytime.

Good to know: The email must match the Family Email on the family's record. If a family doesn't get a link, check their email on the Families page.

Apple Wallet and Google Wallet

Families tap a pass to open it full screen, then tap Add to Apple Wallet or Save to Google Wallet. Now the pass is on their phone, ready to scan at the stage door.

Add the portal to the home screen

On an iPhone or iPad, families see a tip to add the portal to their Home Screen. They tap the Share button, then Add to Home Screen. It then opens like an app.

Messages from the contact form

Messages go to your Studio email, the email shown in Settings → Studio Profile. They include the parent's name, email and family name, and you can reply straight to the parent.

Common questions

Why doesn't a family see a show or routine?

The portal only shows routines their dancers are cast in (or that a family volunteer is assigned to), and shows those routines are in. Check the dancer's routines and the show lineup.

Can I change my portal link later?

Yes. Just remember the old link stops working, so share the new one with families.
