Labs: Manager Check In

Flag dancers who need a manager before they can be checked in. Staff are alerted and must enter a 4-digit manager code to finish check-in.

Written by Joe Naftal

Use Manager Check In when certain dancers shouldn't be checked in without a manager, for example a custody restriction or an unpaid balance.

Good to know: Labs features are early-access tools we're still improving. They're available on Essentials and Production Pro.

Turn it on

  1. Go to Labs, then Manager Check In.

  2. Turn on Enable Manager Check In.

  3. Enter a 4-digit manager code. Share it with managers only.

  4. Click Save settings.

Flag a dancer

  1. Open the dancer and click Edit.

  2. Tick Manager Check In Required.

  3. Click Save changes.

At check-in

When staff check in a flagged dancer, an alert sounds and the Manager Check In Required window opens. A manager enters the code and clicks Check in. If the code is wrong, staff see “Incorrect manager code” and the dancer isn't checked in.

On a self-service kiosk, flagged dancers are told to see a staff member.

Good to know

  • The code is only needed for checking in, not checking out.

  • It applies whether the dancer is checked in as a dancer or as an assistant.

  • Turning off Enable Manager Check In skips the code for everyone, but keeps your flags for next time.
